Aufgrund ihrer Reunion Konzerte und des neuen Albums „Sol Invictus“ sind die grandiosen Faith no More aus den USA wieder in aller Munde! Da entschied sich das Label der Band zur Wiederveröffentlichung der Klassiker „The Real Thing“ von 1989 und „Angel Dust“ von 1992. Neben den remasterten Original Alben findet sich im toll gestalteten „Deluxe Edition“ Digipack noch eine randvolle Bonus Disc mit Raritäten! Ein sehr vorbildlicher Re-Release dieser Klassiker!

„The Real Thing“ schlug damals ein wie eine Bombe. Der Crossover Sound des spaßigen Fünfers aus San Franzisco traf den Nerv der Zeit und Hits wie „From out of Nowhere“, „Falling to Pieces“ und natürlich „Epic“ waren MTV Futter wie es sein muss. Mit ihrem Crossover Sound und den originellen Vocals von Mike Patton konnten die FNM Boys Millionen begeistern. Das Original Album enthält 11 Songs und die Bonus Disc ebenfalls, da finden sich dann Live Versionen, Remixe und B-Seiten – genaue Auflistung weiter unten!

„Angel Dust“ war 3 Jahre nach dem großen Hitalbum „The Real Thing“ der würdige Nachfolger. Wieder fand man die richtige Mixtur zwischen harten Tönen und ruhigen, völlig abgefahrenen Parts. Mit „Midlife Crisis“, „Be Aggressive“, der Commodores Coverversion „Easy“ und dem von mir sehr verehrten „Midnight Cowboy“ trumpfte man erneut auf. Stark!  14 Tracks hat das Original Album und die Bonus Disc haut mit 17 Stücken (Live, Remixe, B-Seiten, unreleased Tracks) rein, genaue Auflistung weiter unten!

Wer also Faith no More bisher noch gar nicht auf dem Schirm hatte – diese beiden Alben sind DIE Klassiker der Gruppe und die Neuverwertung mit dieser tollen Aufmachung und so viel Bonus Stoff lohnt!
